Satellite Technology and Communication

Course Description  

The course introduces the entire satellite system and all the significant aspects that must be considered when designing or contributing to a space mission.

The fundamentals of satellite communication are covered, including the satellite and its environment, achieving and maintaining the orbit and communication with ground stations: Astrodynamics, Space Environment, Attitude and Orbit Control, Elemetry, Tracking and Command, Power Supply, Thermal Control, Communications, Ground Stations, Reliability & Propulsion.

The course consists of lectures and a group project.

Recommended Prerequisites

Ongoing higher education studies in Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science or a similar field of study.
