International Sustainable Energy System - New course

Course Description

The purpose of the International Sustainable Energy System programme is to give the students training in project work, by solving an interdisciplinary engineering project which is supported by industry or is industry-oriented. The course focuses on the climate agenda with reduction in CO2 emission.

The subject areas for the project can, for example, be design of small wind turbines to mount on private or small buildings, micro water turbines, solar cell driven equipment and the suchlike. It can be the design of electrical systems, control and automation, mechanical structures, environmental issues or energy optimization.

The project period starts with an introduction to the project management that is expected to be used during the project. At the end of week one there will an assessment. In addition to the theoretical part and the project work, the program involves relevant company visits and presentation training.

Recommended Prerequisites

An ongoing Higher Education studies in Electrical Power, Mechanical Engineering, Energy or similar field of studies.
